readleaf is a personal reading tool. We built it to be simple and trustworthy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

The short version: we collect only what's necessary to deliver articles to your Kindle. We don't sell your data, track your reading habits, or share your information with third parties for advertising.

The Chrome extension

The readleaf Chrome extension requests access to the current tab in order to read the page content and URL when you click "Send to Kindle." It does not run in the background, does not track your browsing, and does not transmit any data unless you explicitly click the send button.

Your Kindle email address is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. It is sent to our servers only when you send an article, for the purpose of delivery.

Article content is processed in memory and not stored after delivery. Your account information is retained as long as you have an active account. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
