Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

By using readleaf, you agree to these terms. We've written them to be readable — not to hide anything, but to be clear about how the service works and what we expect from each other.

The short version: use readleaf for personal reading, forward only content you have the right to access, and treat the service fairly. We'll do the same.

1. What readleaf does

readleaf is a web service and Chrome extension that converts web articles and email newsletters into EPUB format and delivers them to your Kindle or Kobo device via email.

2. Your account

You must create an account to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Please provide accurate information when signing up.

You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard. All your data will be permanently removed.

3. Acceptable use

readleaf is for personal, non-commercial reading. You agree to:

readleaf is a delivery tool. We don't verify ownership of forwarded content — that responsibility is yours.

4. Newsletter forwarding

Reader plan members may forward newsletters to their personal readleaf address. By doing so, you confirm you are the intended recipient of any newsletters you forward and are not redistributing content to others.

To stop a newsletter from being delivered to your device, unsubscribe from it directly with the original sender, or remove the forwarding rule in your email client.

5. Plans and billing

The free plan allows up to 25 article sends per month. The Reader plan provides unlimited sends and newsletter forwarding, billed monthly or annually via Stripe.

You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Founding member pricing is locked in for the lifetime of your subscription. Cancelling and resubscribing after the founding member period ends will result in standard pricing.

6. Service availability

We aim to keep readleaf reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is." We don't warrant that every article will deliver successfully or that the service will meet every use case.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, readleaf is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify users of material changes by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
